Coming Home
The past few weeks I have gotten a little home sick, I know this probably makes mom happy to hear. Yes I admit it, i miss it back there a little. But just a little. I have been planning to come home while Tammy is there. I was hoping to spend the 4th of July with the family, but that is not going to happen. It falls on a friday, and the guy that works for me can not work every other weekend. It seems everytime there is a holiday or something comes up on a weekend it is his weekend off. I am going to break my record this time when I come home. Usually I leave as quick as I get there. This time will be different. Yes I want to spend time with the family, but there are also a few things I have wanted to do everytime I come home. For one reason or another, I haven't been able to do them. So this time I am going to do them. I searched prices online tonight. I know fuel prices are up, and these airline companies were not going to give me a ticket for nothing. I thought I would check Southwest first, to my surprise they were outrageous compared to what I was hoping for. They wanted $288 each way plus taxes and fees. The cheapest I could find was a total of $388. That included the fees. It was through American. Anyways, I thought I would go back to where I bought my flights before, not long after I first moved out here. I did not expect to get my price i asked for. Yes, I used priceline. I do not know why I have not been using them the last few times I flew, but I was surprised. They excepted $275. Now y'all want to know when I am coming. I guess you may want notice so you can get out of dodge. Lets just say I will be there when Tammy gets there, and I am leaving to come back to Arkansas July 2nd. Two things I hope I can do when I come home is go hiking to lake blanche, and maybe visit Bill Van Valkenburg, if he is in the country, and visit a few others from the past.

just getting started
Rhonda sent me a link to their blog, I had no idea just about everyone in the family was on here but me. It is good to read everyone elses blogs and see what they have been upto, and for others learn things about them that I had no clue about, (uncle Dave E's blog, with his life history.) I do not have much going on out here in Arkansas, other than work so i will try to keep y'all up to date with me, but it will be very boring. I know I do not keep the best of contact with everyone, probably should call mom more. Ofcourse i did call her today for mothers day. again, happy mother's day mom.
Two weeks ago I recieved a call from mom. When I first saw the number on the phone my first thought was who passed away. When I answered the phone I was glad to hear that was not what she was calling about. Mom does not call much, I guess with seven kids it is best sometimes to wait for them to call. The last few times she did call it was for my birthday and the days grandma and grandpa Astle passed away. They were on one of Robs tours. Mom had no clue she was only a short 2 hours away from me. They were in Branson Missouri, and uncle Dave E. asked mom how far I was, so she called to find out. I drove up there the next day and spent the rest of the day and night with them. It was nice seeing them, at the same time I figured this would get me out of coming back to utah this year. Not that I do not want to come. I know my visits are short when I do, but it is hard to leave the business. Well, after talking to mom, and Coleen trying to convince me, it looks as if I will be coming home this summer when Tammy comes out. I do have one guy working for me now, he usually just takes my calls at night and every other weekend. He can help during the days too if needed, so hopefully I can afford to come for a little longer.
For now I am off to bed, no telling what time the phone will ring in the morning, so i better get some rest. When my phone rings it usually means it is time to get up and go make some money. It is midnight here, so I must say good night.
